Copyright and takedowns

Last updated November 4, 2026

Only post photos and videos you own or have permission to use. If you believe something on OurSparks infringes your copyright, send us a notice and we'll take it down. We respond to notices under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws.

Send a notice

Email support@oursparks.app with "Copyright notice" in the subject, including:

  1. Your name, address, phone number and email.
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you believe was infringed.
  3. Where it is in OurSparks (a screenshot and the couple's name or post title help us find it).
  4. This statement: "I have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
  5. This statement: "The information in this notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the owner, or authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of the copyright that is allegedly infringed."
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or you have permission, email us with your name, address, phone number, the content that was removed and where it was, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, outside the US, any district where OurSparks may be found), and your signature. We may restore the content after 10 to 14 business days unless the person who complained tells us they've gone to court.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe others' rights.

Misuse

Knowingly false notices or counter-notices can make you liable for damages.
